Green Antalya EXPO 2024 Presentation was Made

The promotional meeting of the Vegetable, Fruit, Beekeeping, Packaging, Logistics, Storage and Fresh Product Technologies Fair (Green Antalya EXPO), which will be held on April 17-19 next year, was held in Antalya. Ümit Mirza Çavuşoğlu, President of the Western Mediterranean Exporters Association (BAİB), Adlıhan Dere, President of the Antalya Union of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen (AESOB), Ali Bıdı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Antalya Fuarcılık ve İşletme Yatırım A.Ş. (ANFAŞ), members of ANFAŞ Board of Directors and sector representatives attended the promotional meeting. Making the opening speech, ANFAŞ Chairman Ali Bıdı stated that they mentioned the fair to the Dutch sector representatives during their visit abroad and said, “Our fair will be held at ANFAŞ International Fair and Congress Center on April 17-19 next year. We want to make the fair a brand in Antalya with the sector leaders and carry it to the world. We told Dutch sector representatives about our fair and our cooperation was finalized. Our agency there stated that the Dutch sector representatives will support the company representatives in Turkey.” In his speech, Ümit Mirza Çavuşoğlu, President of the Western Mediterranean Exporters Association (BAİB), said that Antalya is the leader in greenhouse agriculture and that 50 percent of the greenhouses in Turkey are located in the city. Stating that the fresh fruit and vegetable sector in the Western Mediterranean, which includes Antalya, Isparta and Burdur, has an important share in the exports of the region, Çavuşoğlu said, “Last year, we reached a record figure of 850 million dollars in fresh fruit and vegetable exports. Our goal is to exceed 1 billion dollars. Such fairs also play an important role in increasing our exports.” Çavuşoğlu added that they expect intense participation in the fair. Adlıhan Dere, President of the Antalya Union of Chambers of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, said that fairs contribute significantly to the introduction of new products and technology to the sectors. Stating that fairs are also important in terms of tourism, Dere noted that the participants in the fair also mobilize the economy of the city. Green Antalya Expo Project Manager Buse Özbilek stated that they have established strong relations with agencies abroad and said, “We have reached more than 1000 potential buyers through advertisements on various websites and by using our extensive database, and we invite these delegations to our fair as VIPs. 9 market chains and 47 importers from Europe, Middle East and Russia markets have already confirmed to come to Green Antalya Expo.” The meeting ended with a group photo shoot. – ANTALYA
