Turkey-Japan 100th Anniversary Launch was held at Marmaray New Gate Station with the participation of Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Enver İskurt. Speaking at the event organized for the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Japan, İskurt said, “Japan is the largest investor and the third largest trading partner of our country in Asia, as well as one of the hosts of Turkish industrialization. Currently, more than 200 companies with Japanese capital are operating in our country.” Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Enver İskurt, Ministry of Transport General Director of Infrastructure Investments Dr. Yalçın Eyigün, General Director of Middle East-Europe Jıca Kei Toyama, Japanese Ambassador to Turkey Katsumaka Takahiko, Deputy Minister Amakawa Hidefumi Mlıt attended the Turkey-Japan 100th Anniversary Launch held at Marmaray Yenikapı Station on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Japan. Speaking at the event, Mr. Iskurt said: “Turkey and Japan are two countries living at the eastern and western ends of Asia that have succeeded in preserving the heritage of their deep-rooted history. It is extremely important to create opportunities for both communities to benefit from this rich heritage. Accordingly, 2019 has been declared as the Year of Turkish Culture in Japan. As of 2024, we are excitedly celebrating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Japan. Such increasing mutual high-level visits and events organized in both countries further reinforce the friendship between our peoples. Today, we are holding this ceremony within the framework of the Marmaray Project, which is one of the most important works of our cooperation and the realization of a 150-year dream.” l ‘OVER 200 JAPANESE CAPITAL COMPANIES IN OUR COUNTRY’ Enver İskurt said, ”Japan is the largest investor and the third largest trading partner of our country in Asia, as well as one of the hosts of Turkish industrialization.
